Enjoying our baby boy!

Caleb will be 5 months old on the 9th and he is soo much fun! Becca,Ben and Abby all love their baby brother very much and play with him all the time. He is getting old enough to recognize them and he loves to play right back! He has learned how to give kisses and though they are big, wet, slobbery ones..we LOVE them! He really seems to understand what he is doing when he gives us a juicy peck on the cheek..it is so sweet and precious! Caleb also loves to coo and talk and he should be popping out a tooth anyday from the way I have to change his bibs constantly! He is getting stronger everyday and tries to scoot when he is laying on his stomach. Yesterday Becca sat him in his bouncy seat and did not strap him in like we normally do. I walked into the living room to see him laying on the floor on his belly trying to eat the bouncy seat legs! We discovered that Caleb had wiggled right out and onto the floor all by himself! So strapping him in is a MUST now! Time has just flown for it seems only yesterday that I thought he would NEVER smile or play with toys! Now, he does ALL that and then SOME! We are enjoying every moment with our precious Caleb James! I have posted several pics of him and the kids. I LOVE to take pics of him and he is beginning to realize what that little gray box is for! An update on our moving plans: We talked with the people who are wanting to buy our place and they were not able to get ahold of any financing places due to them being closed for Thanksgiving. We gave them another # to try and they are supposed to let us know something this week... Please help us pray that God will work everything out so we can move in the next 2 weeks. Thank-you!

This pic really shows they are brothers!

Caleb and Becca having a chat!

A sweet smile for Mommy!

His newest discovery: His tongue!

I had him sitting up on the table and was snapping
pic after pic of his cute expressions!

Now time for belly shots..

..Cheese!

The boys were 'reading' a truck magazine!

Brotherly love! Aww!

Ben was showing Caleb how to play with our
Noah's Ark set..

" So, this is what they call 'toys'. Hmm...wonder
if they taste good?" thinks the baby.

Sis joins in the play and brings more toys!

Ben thoughtfully volunteered to play 'tea-party'

with Abby...
they dined on apples and bunny crackers. A
meal fit for a prince and princess!

Thanksgiving Memories

What a relaxing, fun and memorable Thanksgiving we enjoyed! We went to my parents house and they invited 2 older bachelor brothers from our church who did not have anywhere to go for Thanksgiving dinner to join our feast! My sister and brother-in-law were not able to join us this year and we missed them lots! Matt and Presley were there too and we enjoyed a HUGE moist, juicy turkey, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, dressing, sweet potato casserole, noodles, cranberry salad, a fruit platter, crackers and cheese, homemade cinn. bread, salad and 2 pies, cheesecake and angel food cake with icecream! As I said, a 'FEAST'! Noone went away hungry! We have a family tradition that we all go around the table and share what we are thankful for and then we sang the chorus to Great Is Thy Faithfulness. Truly, God has blessed us far more than we deserve and I am so thankful for His many blessings!

Presley with all the kids. We all love her and
will miss her when we move!

Uncle Matt enjoyed showing Caleb

how to play the piano! Aww!

The piano keys fascinated Caleb!

Becca showing Uncle Matt her piano skills. She

is doing very well and has even composed a song!

Our afternoon activities included......

.climbing the walls...they do this on a regular basis

and I did the same thing when I was young! ;o)

Ben climbed pretty high!

Dominoes were a BIG hit throughout the afternoon..

...for building towers...

...Roger and Ben built a road...

....and we all had lots of fun playing Chicken

Tracks late into the afternoon!

Thanks Dad and Mom for a great Thanksgiving!

We love you both very much and cherish our family

dinners together!

Playing in the snow!

A few days ago we witnessed the fluffy white stuff falling again! It not only covered the yards, trees and rooftops but it stuck and accumulated around 1-2 inches in places. The kids were thrilled as you can imagine! Becca was spending the day with my parents but Ben and Abby went out and played on the porch. They had a blast throwing snowballs at each other! It was so hilarious to watch because Ben would make 3 snowballs to Abby's 1 and while she was bent over forming her snowball Ben was pelting her over and over again! I thought she would get mad at him but she just squealed and laughed her head off and then she threw her snowball missing him by a mile! She gets her aim from me! LOL!! I don' t have any snowsuits for them because I sold them at our garage sale of course! I truly thought we would be enjoying Florida sunshine by now! Thankfully, I DID keep Ben's boots and Ben had an older pair that Becca can wear but Abby just has her dress boots to wear..at least she has something! I was able to borrow a pair from my mom so we will at least keep our feet warm! I did have the foresight to pack up our gloves, scarves and hats and take them out to my parents earlier last month, so we have those again thank goodness! I am thinking that I need to hit up the local Goodwills as they are forecasting accumulating snow for Monday! These last 2 snowfalls were only supposed to be 'snow showers'! LOL!
Enjoy the pics of the kids enjoying the snow! And I have added some more of this-n-that!

Ben thought he was so cool..he kept throwing snowballs
at me standing at the screendoor!

You can tell how excited he was!

Abby getting ready to launch one......

Abby is about to get creamed!

As you can see, Caleb was very impressed with
the snow! LOL!! As long as he has his 'buddy'
it is all good!

Abby and I baked and decorated Pumpkin-
Chocolate-chip cupcakes.

We had fun using my Pampered Chef Decorator
Bottle Set to put on the icing! ;o) Cream cheese
frosting with Pumpkin pie spice mixed in..Mmmm!

Caleb sitting up with Sis's hidden helping hands!

Now you see her! I like this pic...Becca hates it!

I caught Abby in the middle of a 'tea party'!

Our little man all dressed up for snowtime!

All 3 of them ready for church. We have Revival

this week with Bro. Joseph Smith.

Getting sugar from big bro. and Sis. He does not

look too thrilled!

We HAD to get some floor shots and Abby

threw this blanket over him..awww!

Group shot!

All snuggled under the covers!

Enjoying the Memories!

We truly do not realize just how much we take things for granted until they are GONE! We have been keeping this thought in mind as we enjoy these last few weeks in Indiana. We have been praying for God to let us move on the 22nd and since our place has not sold yet, it does not look like we will be leaving when we had planned. We are a little bit disappointed, yet we know that God has our very best in mind and His ways and timing are so much better than our own. We were able to experience and enjoy the first Indiana snowfall of the season today! Yes, it was just a light dusting and it only lasted for a few hours, but it was beautiful! Danny and Ben wasted no time in getting into a snowball fight! I, an innocent bystander, ended up getting pelted with a big, icy snowball that my mischievous husband dared to throw! ;o) I had to capture the beauty of the trees and fields covered in the pretty white stuff! If we could just have the snow without the cold, freezing wind...brrr! Florida sunshine will be a welcome change!

These trees are in our neighbors backyard.

I took this one while driving down the road....

We also enjoyed our church's annual Thanksgiving dinner. The tables were decorated very pretty but I did not think to get a pic until after we had sat down and the effect was ruined by then. I did get a couple candid shots.....

Becca and Ben at our table hamming it up.

Two little boys named 'Caleb'! Aren't they sweet?!

Ben was a little antsy while waiting for his food

and put his napkin over his head and said he was

a 'Pumpkin'. He is our family 'clown'!

Caleb was quite content to play in his seat while

we ate and fellowshipped.

Amanda C. entertained him while I finished

eating.

Teresa S. had fun playing with Caleb as well.

She has a new grandson due next month :o)

We had art class last Friday and Ben and Abby wanted pics taken of their projects. Ben made a Buzz Lightyear out of construction paper and Abby and mommy made a little basket that she decorated and carried her baby stuff in all day. She called it her 'Sleeping Beauty Basket'. Abby loves Sleeping Beauty!

Showing off their work!
The finished projects.

We decided to try baby cereal with Caleb and here is how it went....

He only ate a few spoonfuls and then spit it out and would not eat anymore. We have tried it one time since and added peaches with it..he hated it! Oh well, we will try again soon....
Here is a few more pics of our growing baby...

I love this one! He looked so sweet and sat up so good!

Check out those dimples!
Please keep our family in your prayers as we continue to pack and wait on God's timing for our move. Thank-you!
