Home

We are BACK! We praise and thank God for His protection for our family and our team as we traveled to Haiti and back. We have many, many stories and pictures to share and I would be here all night if I posted everything! I will be posting bits and pieces as I can find the time. I will give you a brief summary of our trip: We took down a badly needed water pump that was donated to the mission. The men put it in the first day we were there and we were blessed with running water and electricity as well as an indoor commode! You may laugh but we did not expect to have any of those wonderful priviledges that we take for granted here in the States! We also had a refrigerator and a deep freeze to keep our drinks and sometimes ourselves cool! No kidding, it got so hot somedays that we would literally open the freezer and try to shut as much of ourselves in it to cool off! We have pictures...it was a funny sight!
God helped us to hold a VBS and several children made decisions for Christ each night....what a beautiful sight! We built their church an outdoor platform and painted it in bright Haitian colors! The men fixed different things around the house and we went out and visited the people in the villages quite a few times and had prayer and sang for them. They were very appreciative! The poverty was un-real and very sad! The children are very needy and followed us everywhere! "Blanc" means 'White" in Creole and we heard it several times a day. Our team made lots of friends with the Haitians and the day we left was like a funeral! It was a learning experience the whole 2 weeks that we will not soon forget! THANK-You for everyone's prayers! We felt them as God protected us!
