100th post!

Hard to believe that this is the 100th time I have posted on this blog! So HAPPY 100th Posting to all our faithful readers! :o)
We have been BUSY as usual and here are ALL the pics to show what we have been up to the last few weeks.

Farm Fieldtrip:
The first part of this month we visited a good friend of ours farm. They raise lots of different breeds of chickens: Americanas,Rhode Island Reds and Buff Orpingtons. We enjoyed visiting the chicken pen and getting to see how to collect fresh brown eggs. The chickens are free-range and produce cholesterol- free eggs as a result :o) Each one of the kids gave an oral or written report on their trip as well as did research on different types of chickens. We now buy fresh brown eggs from them every week and enjoy delicious omelets and scrambled eggs without worrying about cholesterol..yeah!
Abby was happy to carry the egg-collecting basket....

Caleb LOVED all the kitties and chickens! He kept saying
"Awww!"

'Farmer Ben' dressed appropriately for the trip to
the farm. He is gathering his first egg.
The girls spy more eggs to gather.

Michelle shows them how to carefully pick up the eggs.

This is either a Buff Orpington or an Americana.
Whichever one he is handsome for a rooster! LOL!
I couldn't resist snapping this sweet pic. They
were trying to find Susie the cow....

Becca takes a turn toting the eggs and one
of the MANY cats running around their farm.

Michelle showed us how they sterilize the eggs in bleach water.

Becca dips the eggs........

Odds-n-Ends pictures:

Becca and Ben built this cool LEGO MAN!

Yes, he is walking! Like a drunken sailor! LOL!

...and climbing on everything!
Heaven help me! ;o)
There are LOTS more pics but I will save them for the next post...check back soon!
